The Industrial Revolution started during the eighteenth century. Thousands of families moved from sm both farms to banging cities. When families moved to the city, every person in the family did what they could to add to the family income. The some common jobs were found at nearby factories. Children as puppyish as five would work to keep their families from starving. The British were obligated for the hindering of young childrens education due to spacious labor responsibilities. Children were useful because the machines were powered by water wheels and if something on the machine broke they would not just stop all the machines for that one machine to be fixed. They needed people with scurvy hands to reach in and fix the machines. Children would get gainful as little as pennies a day part adult males were getting twice the amount.
During the Industrial Revolution the children working conditions were unbearable. Instead of pursuing an education, they were risking their lives for manufactured goods. Part of being a child is making mistakes. The factories owners didnt care whether you were nine or five you were going to get beaten if you made a mistake especially one that pricey. The beatings were usually harsh. The children would get beaten, verbally abuse, and the factory owners would take no consideration for their safety.
