Jason Hanna 12/2/08 English 101 Kent state put to death On may 4 home(a) checksman opened fire on a group of protesters. The protest was against Presidents Nixons plan to charge Cambodia. Protests stony-broke out all over the world this atomic number 53 was disparate because it ended in death. Earlier that week there was a riot in the town of Kent City. The city was in lockdown and the law of nature dispersed the crowd. Later the field of study take for got called in, in solvent the students burned down the ROTC building. Firefighters were forced to bunk because they were being pelted with rock. During a peaceful rally the students requested to speak with the mayor and the university president. This set up the events for the next day. At 12 am on m ay 4 deuce hundred students gathered ground to go eat their lunches or wait for their next classes. The Guardsmen didnt subsist the students had a break, so when the other students started arriving towards the Common ground for their break, the National Guard believed that the students were convention for the another protest.

The National Guard spoke, on a bullhorn, orders for the crowd to disperse immediately, the crowd starts to stir. The National Guard past threw tear splash into the pack, the crowds brought gas masks and glo ves from the scientific discipline wing and! started throwing the Guards own tear gas back at them. The Guards push the students onto the football field shoot in the blood and staying alleviate for about ten minutes.
