The development of Buddhism started in about 600 bc when Siddhartha, a prince, was render from the world by his father, the emperor, so that he would not become a priest but a great rule of the state. When he ventured out of the kingdom he found that at that place was more to the world than what he had seen. The Hindu religion evolved from the Vedic religion that was one of the first religion and the when it became Hinduism they kept the texts called the Vedas and it is a major texts read by priests. But in Hinduism they retrieve that one all powerful god had split to corpse everything and that everyone was a portion of the universe and that everyone should respect everything because it is a part of Brahma. Also they believe that there are different castes of bulk that you were born into depending on your behavior in the past life.
The ways that they are different is because they take part in two different times and develop on different beliefs from distributively other and the fact that Siddhartha was a man who had no divine power until he reached enlightenment and became Buddha. The ways that the two religions are similar is that after Hinduism has been the main religion in Asia or many years, Buddhism was formed off of Hinduism because Siddhartha was a Hindu and he found enlightenment off of meditation which was in the Hindu belief. This makes the two religions similar because Hinduism and Buddhism share the same base roots.
