Religion was and everyday thing in ancient Egypt. there was no stopping them for coming up with anformer(a) god/goddess for what they did not understand in nature. They were polytheistic which in other hands that means they worshiped many gods/goddesses. They believed that pharaohs were pharaoh because the gods or goddesses wanted them to.
